An Abundance of Blessings

If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! Matthew 7:11

Hello Friend!

I cannot even begin to describe to you how blessed I am feeling at this moment. It seems like lately I am seeing amazing evidence of God working through people and organizations to just pour out blessings.

First, I received an email asking if Harvest House could use diapers. We have some babies living here with their momma right now so YES, bring on the diapers! That quickly turned into more diapers than we could have imagined so we were able to pass those blessings on to former Harvest House residents, Harvest Christian Fellowship Daycare families, and the Miami Valley Women’s Center.

The delivery of diapers also brought warm winter blankets – a LOT of blankets. We called our friends at Life Enrichment Center, knowing they worked with a lot of the homeless population in Dayton and were able to pass that blessing along to them. When I dropped off the blankets, they filled the Harvest House freezers with meat and all sorts of foods that will last a LONG time.

As I was looking through donation receipts, it struck me just how faithful people are in sending donations and not only loving on this ministry but also our family. It blows me away how long some people have supported this vision in so many ways.

Just today I received a message that said “You all have encouraged us towards obedience through your own obedience!” and I got to read the story of how a local family opened their home to a young woman who needed a family to love her.

I am grateful. This has been a challenging year for us personally with health issues for our little girl Faith, the loss of my amazing Grandmother, and the weariness that life can bring. But then I see these things and am reminded over and over how good our God is and how He sees us in the big things – the hospitalizations and the grief – and in the little things – like diapers and treats we wouldn’t normally buy. I have no doubt He loves us and He is good! Wishing you and yours a MERRY CHRISTMAS and praying specifically that you see God show up in a way that can ONLY be Him!

Have a blessed day,

Aaron and Elizabeth
